Example:What do christains do to help mankind?Now the answer.They have a program called "Feed the Children" that feeds hungry children around the world regardless of their nationality or faith.I'm not a bigot , I don't hate anyone , all I am doing is giving you the opportunity to change what so many people right or wrong think about you.

Muslims have a whole bunch of charity organizations. There are ones that help poor people by giving them food, clothing, and shelter, there was one that helped the victims of the terrible earthquake that occured in Pakistan...and so much more...some people donate a lot of money for the poor. In fact, every year, Muslims are supposed to donate a certain percentage of their money to charity causes, it's part of Islam called alms giving.

Well, Muslims have NGO organizations and other Charitable Institutions, but they dont feel the need to come out in the open and say 'praise us!! we r so good and pious'.
Do you know, Muslims give the most charity than anyone else. Each person with a sufficient earning is required to give 2.5% of his profit in a given time period to the poor as charity (also known as 'Zakat', 1 of the 5 pillars of Islam). Take stats and view what that amount sum upto, and then compare it with ur charitable organizations, u'll feel good if ur charity comes even to half of what Muslims give. 'Zakat' is an obligation on every Muslim, and it is apart from other charity 'Sadqa' that Muslims also give. If every person in this world, who has sufficient earnings, gives charity (at Zakat level) on a regular basis, then poverty will be eradicated from the society. This is the solution that Islam has provided us regarding poverty, which is so Simple. For a fact, in the Muslims Golden Era (Dark Ages for Europeans), in the city of Baghdad (Iraq's Capital), poverty was totally eradicated through means of 'Zakat', and since It was an obligation, ppl had to thoroughly find any poor to give their Zakat/charity to.
And, oh yeah when we slaughter animals on Eid, we give one-third (1/3) the meat to the poor.
So, dont u doubt us again, that we are less charitable than Christians ....... we do charity NOT to gain worldly acknowledgement, but to please ALLAH (GOD) and Seek GOD's reward for it in the HereAfter. Some Christians, like some Muslims, are rotten people. That's life. Muslims probably have many charitable among them. Your question is insensitive, but I fully expect that you'll get a lot of sympathy, judging from some of the weird questions and answers I've seen.

Sana gave a perfect answer! Every year, we muslims have to give alms to the poor. In the month of fasting, we provide food for the people who dont have. The muslim holiday, EID, we provide food for the needy. You think we dont do anything besides blowing up people?...that is what the media wants you to think. It wants you to think that muslims are terrorists and deny peoples rights. We have a lot of charity organizations.
