I think when changing to a type of cat food as potent as this food seems (look at the cats eyes) you have to be careful and do as the other helpful answers said, slowly introduce the drugged cat food with the regular cat food or your cat might O .D. In any case you need to get the address of the local kitty methadone clinic for when it's new food habit gets too much.

According to your link, this seems to be a joke. But anyway.

No, you don't need to limit her intake. Continue feeding her the same amount of food. However, you should slowly mix from the old food to the new food...

1/4 new food + 3/4 old food on day 1-2
1/2 new food + 1/2 old food on day 3-4
3/4 new food + 1/4 old food on day 5-6
100% new food on day 7! :)

I am with Doxie on this, only I take longer to make the complete switch. Click on my name. My formula is the same and I do my mixes for at least a week or ten days at a time.

This is not a cat food site. Someone is pulling our leg.

Boffo, it has already gone too far!! No doubt, your pusses are putting out the red light for the cat smack food. One is probably shaking her bottom can can style, the polydactyl is set up in a freak show for nickels, and the rest are catching the city bus in shifts with PAW PAW's nickels to buy it from the alleycats. Check them for beepers with text messaging...wake up,. Boffo.

you should start by only adding little bits to see how yourcat takes it. if it doesn't bother him/her then keep adding littlebits. because it would not be good to introduce a lot of a new thing at once. i would even start with just getting a few samples of the new cat food you want to try so in case your cat doesn't like it you didn't buy a whole bag.

Yes.. it it is a new cat food, you should(if you have some of the old cat food left) mix it together to get your kitty used to the change.... at least, that is what vets tell me.

If I change cat foods, I mix the old and new and gradually increase the amount of new. They seem to accept it better that way.

Cat smack, huh? Your cats are hardcore fiends...and I thought it was bad that my cat is a lazy pothead who does nothing but sleep and get the munchies. Oh well, as long as there is "enough nutrition"! LOL at Turtlegirl and Frankenchrist's answers!

Mix your current food with the new variety and slowly eliminate the old food.
