None of the above answers is correct. Half and half is a mixture of cows' milk and cream from cows' milk. It is a mixture that amounts to no more than ten percent cream, and can be as little as five percent. Whole milk has five to six percent cream if not tampered with. Usually, though, half and half is about ten percent cream and the name is a misnomer intended to sell the product, not designed to tell the truth. Would you pay all of that extra money for only four percent extra cream?]

The same cream you buy in the store that is called "Heavy Cream" or "Whipping Cream". It is diluted with Skim Milk and that is why they call it Half & Half.
