I found a folder of ex-girlfriend pictures on my boyfriend's computer, also emails from her as well. They have been broken up for at least 4 years and we've been dating for 2 1/2. Is this something I should be worrying about? Is he trying to hold on to the past?

Are the emails recent or from their relationship? If they are old, ideally, you would not feel threatened. Everyone has a personal past of some kind. Our past is what makes us who we are today. So it is natural for people to keep things from their past. Now, of course, it is possible that he still pines for her, or that there are unresolved feelings there. In those cases, it could prove a threat to your relationship. The only way to really find out is talk about it with him. Find out where you stand, and get to know him a little better at the same time.

Well not nessarily. Sometimes things on a computer just sits and collects dust (so to speak) I have folders that I have not touched in years. I guess the best thing to do is just ask him unaccusingly. Good luck.

this is something that should NOT be happening. if he has a folder set apart just for her, then there is something unhealthy about him holding on to this person. you need to confront him about this. ask him why he feels the need to hold on.
if he gets upset, then you should maybe think about leaving him

he's not holding onto the past, he prob just has some fond memories(everyone does) and he's keeping the pictures so when he jerks off he can imagine doing all sorts of disgusting things to her

I would be sooo mad! After two and a half years thats some $#!+.I would email her and give her your email address and ask her why your man has her nude on his computer and why is she still talking to him.Anyone who says its no big deal would not feel that way if they were in your position.

i wouldn't worry too much over it unless they are sexually explicit pictures. some people are just lazy about cleaning up their files, or don't think about it. i doubt he keeps those pics there to pull them up and look at them longingly. i say this because just today i deleted some pics of a woman i can't stand, and it's been ages since i split with her.

first confront him and ask him when they were taken and when they were written. Also never act as if your jealous or am very mad cause then the lies come out and then it leads to more. But be cool then tell him we cant be together until u let go of wut is really not the future.............it should work and if he really loves u he wont care about about the girl anymore and just want to be with you!!!!

No big deal really. I'm sure there is nothing to worry about. He obviously isn't secreting them away if you have access to the computer.
Talk to him about it - that's all you can do.
