Only if they are truly searching to change or at least open to the possibility that they hold a flawed opinion.

All truths are one. And if someone is truly seeking for the Truth without prejudice then he'd ultimately find it. This is hard for those who are here just to answer and not figure out the veracity and weight of others' answers against their own.

I've been here long enough to know that most people only wanna preach, believing that nothing can challenge every bit of what they held as true even at the expense of rationality and scholarship.

i don't believe this forum was ever designed by yahoo to lead people to God. Could this help people? Sure.
Well "grounded" people will NOT be changed. The weak may very well be changed. A weak christian has ZERO business of even being in here.
Has this forum caused people to "think"? I assure you without a doubt, it has. It doesn't matter if they changed they're mind YET or not.
"Change" comes by what? hearing. Hearing what? the Gospel. It is quite evident, there will be NO change with NO Gospel.
Jesus didn't proclaim go change the world. He simply said, Go preach the Gospel. God will make any changes that He See's in His will.

GREAT Question.

I have changed a lot of my beliefs because of this site. I have changed a lot of my beliefs because of people i meet in life and things that happen in life. I test my beliefs with real life questions and this site offers real life questions. I am an atheist, because the questions can only be answered with real life answers.

No.
The only thing we can do here is to possibly stimulate someone to research for themselves. I prefer to do it with quotes from the Bible that would make any sane person who believes that the Bible is nothing but greatness and goodness say, "there's no way _that_ can be in the Bible," and then they look it up.

And hopefully they start reading it, and understand it's a textbook example of religious intolerance, misogyny of woman, and crimes against humanity. Here's a good genocide quote:

Not necessarily.
I'm not here to convert.

I've been in the Bible for decades and I'm still learning.

If I can pass some of that around to another's blessing then all glory to God.

Not impossible if they (who asks question and who replies) become known to each other
