People lie all the time. It's really hard to pick just one out. Let me think...A friend of mine's father is a compulsive liar and once, at a dinner party, he made an out there remark about something to do with the local public works system. When he was asked where he got his information, he claimed he was the Director of Public works for the region. The guy he told this to replied " Funny, I know the Director of Public Works and you don't look a bit like him."

My ex-husband told me his wallet got stolen with our ATM card in it and he had written down the code to it on a little piece of paper in his wallet too and somebody found it and used it to clean out our bank account. All of our checks bounced. We had no money in the checking or savings.
After I got over my rage and fear about what we would do without any money and having to pay back all of those bounced checks, I told him I was going to the police and at least the bank camera's might have captured the person's face. Finally he admitted to spending all of the money - he had developed a drug habit. I tried to help get him into rehab but he kept relapsing. Then one day he stole money from our 8 year old daughter's piggy bank and she was devastated. I left him the next day.
That was 19 years ago. It was the best choice I ever made.

High School !
Had a girl friend just as summer vacation started.
She told me she was going to San Diego for the summer.
About the first week end. I got a call that Ann had been killed. Checking with her mother. totally upset. NO! Ann had other problems. But that sucked most of my trust for girls. Even today. 66M

"I care about you." They only said that to gain my confidence and proceeded to tell everyone all my thoughts and feelings--and found it to be hysterically funny to humiliate me like that. It was an elaborate ruse because this "friendship" went on for over a year. But in the end, I was just being played.

It wasn't one particular lie but a complete deception. I've come across several people in my life that seemed so nice in the beginning but in the end disappointed me greatly. You know, when I think about it, I really don't trust anyone 100%.

That they have told me ?? This guy i was going out with and we were planning to get married all of a sudden shut me off ... he said he didnt have the time to be the boyfriend i deserved. He said that since his dad was in the hospital and his financial problems were growing... he didnt have much time for me. About 6 months later i got to speak to him ... he had left me for another girl... and she was pregnant and they were seeing each other with out me knowing.. he didnt even have the balls to break up with me face to face. So he says she was an old friend and they saw each other and fell in love.... i didnt ask to know more i was so heart broken. but i think everything happens for a reason, im happily married now but i wish i could've known other way.

The worse and obvious lie someone has ever told me was that: He had to cancel our date because while he was at the beach the day before, he had to pee in the water and a little fish somehow jumped in his pee hole and he ended up in the hospital! Who in their right mind would believe that. I laughed and hung up the phone. He is still begging for another date 'till today. He was too chicken poop to tell me that he was nervous about our first date. Awful lie!

Well, when my dad's side of the family had a big Thanksgiving meal at his brother's house, and didn't bother to tell me or my sister, so it looked like our families just didn't care enough to show up.....oh well......
