is it required to have any artisitic skills to create good works of art and animations, on the programs?

do I need any artistic ability? I'm a freshman in college and I'm wondering if I should take some art courses before I attempt to take courses for computer aided drafting and 3D design/animation.

It would be good to take some basic courses in drawing, design composition, and color ... just the basics will serve you well. Also, take as many classes you can on the specific programs themselves, and then practice with them at every possible moment.

of course, once u get these programs, u wont understand a thing, u have to get a course to work with the software. Were I work in Puerto Rico they give a intensive course that is up to a month every Saturday and it does not work.
