It seems when I treat a girl with plenty of attention and gifts, she ends up breaking up with me. But when I kinda ignore a girl and only once in a while give in to her wishes, she stays with me longer. I don't like acting like a selfish jerk. Why do girls force me to?

Then, you're not finding the right girl. Be yourself, not some jerk. Just keep searching for the right one, don't settle for less.
I'm 40 and have yet to find a guy as attentive as you seem to be. Perhaps one day I will.
As for the gifts, you don't have to go overboard on those. Heck, be romantic instead. A note left on her pillow or table where she can see it. OR, mail it to her. Gifts are nice, a little romance is even better. Moonlit walks or just sitting outside on the porch at night talking. A rose once in a while. If you get chocolates, then get one or two of the Godiva Chocolates. I know our local Belk store carries it. Why only one? Well, they are a tad expensive, but dang they are good. And just let the lady know that you'd rather get just one or two of the good stuff because she's the best.

I know I wouldn't break up with you if you bought me gifts and payed attention to me.Kidden don't waste your money and wait for the right girl or else you are goin to end up broke by the time you get to her.

well girls we realy dont lik sooo much attention to where if we walk out of the door and our bf is there every time. lik calling once a day and calling 4 dates and hanging out is fine but not lik 24/7 do u get where im comming from. its really hard to say, and we dont think your a jerk if you just dont feel lik it or your busy
