I've never been, I guess very few people have been there. It is the easternmost point in Polynesia, belonging to Chile. Consists in a very small island, about 400 km NE from Rapa Nui (Easter Island), 700 m long by 70 m wide. The narrowest part is 10 m. The island is interesting for its birds. The myth says that Make Make, the creator, protected the birds in this island so people from Rapa Nui didn't eat them.
I guess you have something to do with Italy. One of the links shows a study project between Italy and Chile.
