Oh my god yes ! Thats just how I feel, like sleeping is a waste of time and only to be done when you actually physically feel exhausted. Or when you should be at work :-)

Do you find that you have this more at some times in your life than at others? For me it is a sign of (hypo)mania, but then, I am bipolar (manic depression) and I don't know if you have. During periods of extremely elevated mood sleeping was like just the dumest thing invented, but your body goes along with this mad idea (unlike when you have the tought without the mania) so you can go without sleep for literally days.
Needless to say (I hope) this does takes it toll in a collapse and severe long term depression (mostly much longer than the mania)
When I am stable I have generally no problem going to sleep.

No way man. I always sleep on my right side, so I can dream more creatively and remember tham. I would much rather dream, than be awake. In fact, sometimes, I dread waking up, because I want to continue a dream. Anything can happen in a dream, but here in the real world, it's always the same old, same old.

Yes, I have felt like this for a long time.
Now I know how important sleep is because of what happens to your mind and body during that time. So I know it is enabling me to make the best from the hours I am awake. And I wished I would not be awake at night, just like now... (meaning, I'd like to be sleeping now, to prepare for a difficult day tomorrow!)

This is how most children and some adults feel. Turn off the television, get a boring book, and realize that if anything big were to happen you would awaken. You are not unconscious, just sleeping.

I used to feel this way. Until I realized that I wasn't missing anything. Think about, what has been so spectacular that is has been worth staying up for?

Anyhting that happens in your life, worth remembering, You will be awake for or woken up for! Dont worry too much about what you cannot bhe there for. Just what You know you can be there for. The rest will just happen.....
