1) It's a hypocritical question because your ancestors were illegal immigrants according to the natives. Ask natives yourself. If you were a Mexican living on $2/day, I doubt you would feel guilty about going to the U.S., a land that was won by a series of seizures from natives, including the Mexicans.
2) Free trade in people as well as goods makes sense economically. If I am wrong, why not stop Americans from moving from 1 state to another; obviously, that would hurt the economy. It's a myth that immigrants cause job shortages. I mean the U.S. for most of its history doubled its population every generation, and the # of jobs rose proportionately with the population. Unemployment is natural to all economies because of economic change.
3) Border controls are racist because people don't want the face or culture of America to change much. If you are white, that's why your ancestors were allowed to come to the U.S.
4) Therefore, no, I don't think everyone who works in the U.S. should be a citizen because the bureaucrats granting the citizenship think their job is to limit immigration to a trickle of what it would be naturally.
5) I'm Canadian, and I have no idea why the U.S. has any controls on the U.S. - Canada border??? I mean Americans and Canadians are the same people separated by a border. The economy is booming in Alberta, Canada, yet I've never worked with an American, so the border is very effective in distorting the labour market from what it would be naturally.

You can't not believe statistics, whoever took the time to put them in order for us up above I give a thumbs up. All I can add is that did you try the correct way before you came over illegally?? If not then then you did do a criminal act regardless by crossing the border. If you did try and the answer was no what does that make you. ILLEGAL!!

I agree. Yes millions arrive here each year because we do not have any effective border controls.
The corporations that control the government will not allow either political party to take truly effective action to solve the problem.

Well what you don't realize is that there's many legal immigrants. Permanent residents and they do join the military, so if it's only the citizens, then you're cutting them short even though they served this country and did thing the legal way. Kinda selfish.
Oh and easy - please provide proof of what you are posting, hope its not a bias right wing website, then it really don't have credability.

Fully. Borders are borders, and they're meaningless without some capacity to actually enforce them.

Of course we all want to be here legally. But US govmt doesn't let us be legal. Being legal doesn't depend on us, if it did we would all be legal!
