Nothing, short of surgery. Stretch marks are scarring of the skin, there is noting topical that will remove them. You must have them cut off, which is definitely considered cosmetic, and not covered by insurance. No biggie though. Lots of gals have them, they fade after time, and it's unproductive to worry about your appearance anyway. I don't think anyone ever said, "Man, I might not have kids, but I am darn sure glad I don't have stretch marks!"

Avon makes a stretch mark disappearing cream. Worked for me. I had really bad stretch marks after I had my daughter, and I have used the cream for a while now and they have not went away, but they are fading.

ok my stomach looked like a Rand McNally Road map by time my son was born (now 5 yrs). Recently I started using Palmers Stretch Mark Lotion ($3.75 at stores like Family Dollar and possibly at a Dollar General too as well as bigger stores) they are fading very nicly and I use it everyday!!

I have heard of some dermotologists using lasers to help with stretch marks.

my friend who was pregnant said she rubbed cream (like a good lotion) on her belly every day like all the time while she was pregnant to prevent stretch marks and that seemed to work.

Exercise, there's really nothing you can do to make them go away. A tummy tuck is your best option, but I wouldn't suggest that until you know you're done having children, as this will cost you several thousand. But running, and working out will help.

I don't know if there is any way to make them disappear, though they should fade with time. Wear them with pride as battle scars for your kids! American culture is wrapped up in too much vanity anyhow - reality is a breath of fresh air, isn't it?
