Two wrongs don't make a right. Ya, so our govt. is screwed, do you see a change in procedure anytime soon?
No.. I don't. It doesn't matter whether our govt. is screwed or not-- with respects to why illegals are here. They broke the law by illegally entering, and are still at this time, commiting that crime.
They are criminals and need to leave. Once they have left, we can secure our borders, and then work on the govt.
With the illegals in the country, trying to develope a govt. that makes sense will only hurt us more. The illegals are a big issue right now. Since that's a huge negative character on the United States, it'd probably be best to work through that first, rather than waste more time screwing with the legal system.
There are already laws in place, if only we could apply them to reality; enforce our laws. We don't need new laws to replace the laws already in the books.. That makes no sense.
If my boss tells me I can't stop at McDonalds on the way to work because they don't open till 7, and I must be at work at 6:30, than he shouldn't have to make another time for me to come in.
I should respect my job, even if I hate it, and skip Micky D's to arrive on time. And more or less, I should be fired, rather than given ANOTHER chance.
Am I going to go protest about it...and carry a sign that says I'm going to Micky D's at the work place? That'd be retarded-- and I should get fired.
Sure, I can go to Micky D's, but I will suffer the consiquences and probably lose my job. Oh well, that's my fault.
Just like it's the illegals choice. Don't tell me they don't know what they're doing. They know exactly what's going on.

You know, I have a hard time believing that if I was a Mexican, born and raised in Mexico, that I might have a desire to go to the US. If I didn't have any other option and I thought my life would be better, I may travel to the US seeking a better life. However, illegal immigrants can create a negative impact. Whether you want to believe it or not... they can occupy jobs that Americans would normally occupy and may accept wages that are below minimum wage. I think that maybe we could come to some sort of compromise.... something that may decrease the number of illegals but at the same time not discourage people from coming to the US. I am not intelligent enough to come up with solution, I can only hope that our government can formulate the best answer to this issue.

There is more than too much blame to go around. First of all the Mexicans should not be having more children then can be given a wholesome healthy life, and should be using birthcontrol!, preventing the need to come to the USA. Every person in a leadership position in Mexico and the USA should be advocating family planning. Let's not forget the Popes of Rome irresponsibly contributing to the burdens placed on society by uncontrolled population growth; the biggset problem facing planet Earth today, yesterday and years to come.

There's no reason for anyone IN Mexico to be starving to begin with. Support closing the border to illegal immigration, and Mexico finally deciding on some good common-sense reforms.
Support the border fence, US Border Patrol, Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service, employer enforcement, state and local law enforcement, and let's have this whole mess with immigration, legal or otherwise, straightened out, once and for all, so that there's no doubt or ambiguity in the future or 'awww, LOOOK at that FAAACE' immigration 'policy' in the future. America needs to fix american problems, Mexico needs to fix mexican problems, both countries can do so side-by-side as good neighbors over a well-governed border that is a good deterrent to law-breakers, including illegal immigrants of all kinds.
If you want to work and live in america, do it lawfully. Our laws should be as stringent as Mexico's on this. Shared responsibilities, shared standards.

Both the Mexican and American Governments are responsible for illegal imigration. The Mexican government is drowning in corruption and instead of working for the benefit of its citizens, it prefers to have dollars sent from the US to the families of illegal immigrants, totalling about 20 billion dollars a year. That's the best welfare program they could expect. That's why they officially
encourage emigration to the US.
The level of corruption is deep, involving all levels of government,
legislature and judicial systems. There is no national pride.
The American government is interested in cheap labor, politicians interested in the Hispanic vote and couldn't care less about the wave of crime flowing from Mexico. They don't mind the excessive burdens to social services, school systems, as long as they get the vote.
Americans are governed by millionaires and they couldn't care less. We have the best government money can buy.

You are sooooo right and thanks for the great post.....
I don't see the anger towards this govt., that I do towards illegals...To me, they are the lesser of two evils and only the symptom of the problem.....This govt needed to do something 30 years ago to curve the problem we are seeing today....I don't think they care if illegals come here or not, its small potatoes for them....
Illegals truly do not pose a threat, only a minor problem....I do believe it now needs to be addressed, if not, it will be a bigger problem in the future...Great post and thanks for seeing the real issue, so few do!

Yeah, I suppose it is better that they take advantage of the opportunity. This does not make me think they should be "off the hook". An you are right...the government should give "more of a crap."
