Please forgive me for my ignorance but I never hear of them doing anygood to anyone other than themselves.Do they help in time of disaster?And would they help a christain?Or any other faith for that matter.THIS QUESTION IS IN NO WAY TO ADD TO THE LIST ALREADY AT HAND.I hope this might give opportunity to provide some new light on the subject.I pray that one day you all will come to know Jesus.

I applaud this question.It was asked in a spirit of obvious humility and it has been almost universally greeted by cyncism and hatred. I also notice that not many muslims have actually answered this question and many who have have assumed the author is biased and have attacked him. When will Muslims realise they are doing themselves no good by being biased in their approach to questions like this. My personal view is that muslims do help but it is clear that they have a strict and religiously biased hierarchy for helping - muslims first.

I read a story once written by an 85 year old woman. She fell coming out of a grocery store while carrying her bags. Many people passed her. Suddenly she felt hands around her, a family had come to her aid. They helped her put her groceries in her car and made sure she was ok...she learned that they were Muslim. Muslims are known to be a quite caring and loving community (especially toward elders). Don't let what some extremists may have done influence your view on them. Just like ther are extreme Christians (think cults) there will be extreme Muslims. While I am not of Muslim faith, I do believe this, there is good and bad in all religion, we do no good to ourselves and our world to prejudge based on a few bad seeds.

they came up with science, medicine, mathematics and cleanliness. something the europeans accepted from them centuries ago. Also look up the history of islam..not so much today. the muslims of today are subjected to globalization, UN resolutions, sanctions etc. therefore this tightens what is allowed for them to do. If you look at their history of when they had Caliphs you will understand what islam/muslims do for the world. Look up Umar Ibn'Al Khattab (RA) he was the best of the Caliphs and he set a standard with so many others. Don't just think Jesus was the only one who did good for the world. there were many others after him who did as well.

tell people the truth about Jesus the son of Mary, that's what.your view of Islam shows your ignorance of it.your young,take some time out of your life to get a picture of Islam from Muslims as opposed to their enemies.Muslims do not hate Christians for the sake of hate.they take exception to your descriptions of God the beneficent,the merciful.and Jesus the son of Mary,and many others.there is no prerequisite for a Muslim to hate any thing except what displeases His Lord.

I have worked with many Muslims who are very respectable, law-abiding citizens who make a very real contribution to society. Most of them are very humble and honest. You can't judge the general population of Muslims by the extremists.
Maybe if Christians stopped shoving their religion into other people's faces, then others would not feel the need to retaliate. I have never had a Muslim, Hindu, Jew or Buddhist try to convert me. All of the ones that I know want real peace and to be able to go about their lives safely. They have no intention of harming others.

Muslims think they are doing good but doing good is not what gets you into heaven so many sacrificing Muslims are standing in front of Jesus and having to answer for why they did not accept him. Some muslims choose violents and call it good to please Allah.
The muslim faith was start by Mohammad who heard about who the great messiah was going to be and then went to the cave and wallah he got a revelation that "he was the one". His teachings were to benefit his gain and popularity in life but in death he is answering to the One that he did not accept and giving account.

I cannot answer this based on the factthat I am not familiar with the muslim religion. But you seem to already be biased in that they are no good. Not all muslims are bad just like not all christians are good. Just my opinion in this country where we allow freedom of speech.

What do Christians do for the good of the world? They judge others needlessly, they kill in the name of their god, they try to pass laws to curtail the freedom of others.
