I am trying to decide on a style for my bedroom. I have a husband so it can't be too girlie for his sake (no Shabby chic). I have narrowed it down to a few: French Country, Caribbean/Tropical or Japanese.What do you guys think? Any ideas are welcome.

I would pick Country French for a few reasons. One, no matter what direction you pick later your CF pieces will most likely work.
Two, this classic and warm style is easy to put together on a budget and is equally appealing to men and women. There are so excellent catalogs to look at for CF--try Ballards, Provence and even Target has Toile accessories to complete your picture.
The other advantage is slightly "distressed" pieces from unlikely sources can easily work, so the style is a budget friendly one.
Japanese is trendy but could be over soon. Also, unless you love to live minimally that style is super hard to maintain as clean uncluttered lines are at the heart of it.
Tropical is a little too weekend at Disney after a while, although short term it could be fun.
CF will be a long term look you can add to down the road, mix up, change up and live with. Good luck with your project--and don't forget to ask your husband's opinion once and a while (even if you end up not listening).

Japanese really looks great, but is hard to maintain, unless you are not the "clutter" type. That was my husbands suggestion by the way, though he didn't know what FC was. And all he said when I asked him about C/T was he doesn't like hammocks. So much for the average-guy-in-America.
I think of those you listed French Country would work best, just stay away from "girlie" colours and your hubby will probably be happy with it.

I love French Country more than any other style, especially for a bedroom. I know most men don't like it, but I think the bedroom should be what the woman likes. Tell him the more comfortable you feel in that room will definitely help your mood and therefore your sex life. He'll let you do whatever you want! He can decorate the garage!!

Show your husband some pictures of the room styles you like, and let him have a chance to pick a favorite or eliminate ones he definitely does not like. I do this with my husband whenever I want to redecorate a room.
I figure it's a win-win situation. I get a look that I KNOW I will like, and he gets to have a say in it, too. He has yet to veto every one of my ideas.

French Country, Caribbean, or Japanese... any kind will do. Ask your hubby for his ideas, as a way of respect for his opinion on domestic matters.
First, your should agree on what color/s to use. Then all things will follow like what kind of mattress to buy, etc.

i decorated my room this summer and i did it from ikea so if u like modern stuff go to ikea and dont paint all the walls just 1 or 2 walls and it should be a dark colour (pick a color that matches your sheets) so your furniture will stick out. and on the painted wall(s) hang white shelves trust me u will get lots of comments on it and stay simple and dont forget a floor lamp (a white one) and guys like ikea stuff not old victorian stuff

Japanese.
Black furniture, or rattan.
Lots of bamboo
Some tall plants of bamboo or grasses.
Beautiful silk lantern/bedside lites.
Oriental rugs.
Small table with tea set.
Dressing screen
Wall hangings with cork or ivory look.
(and you could wear those beautiful kimono robes!!)
