Is there any fault, fault-finding, in grace? No! Is there any law imputed sin in Christ: the end of the law? No! Bible says where and when no law, there and then no sin: Rom 4;15; 5:13; Nor any death sting of law imputed sin, followed by hell, perhaps hell to pay for being sow dog gone law law as to turn to, draw back to law, behind you, after being delivered from the law(Rom 7), as if having been delivered from evil(Mt 6).

Is the "kingdom" of God a democracy, of them vs them who "oppose themselves"? No! for "as in Adam(them: Gen 5) all die". And even when right of such law law on high, it's "law": worketh "wrath", which God hath NOT appointed us unto: 1Thess 5:9.

By "legalistic" do you mean they're being overly inflexible with their definitions? Yeah that could be a problem.
Each person learns their "definitions" slightly differently; being that we don't look up words 98% of the time, we just glean them from everyday conversation or ask someone, and each person gets a slightly different answer from whoever they asked.
So when a person is too "legalistic" they make it hard for other people to talk to them because what should be a simple "bending" of their opinion to meet with yours is met with a confusing staunchness.

But, as Dr. Phil says, we teach others how to treat us. You have some fault in the situation as well.

Hope that I answered your question and not my own.

***Do legalistic controllers end up sabatoging the situation, whether teacher, preacher, husband, wife, etc.? ***

No, legalistic controllers do not always end up sabotaging the situation. I don't believe it's so much a matter of sabotage. It's more a matter of who exerts a greater influence in our lives.Which should be dominant in humans affairs, democracy or theocracy.
For me, i pick democracy.

Legalist controllers in most cases end up divorce. It doesn't matter who they are. However, not all legalist are controllers and not all controllers are legalists.

Afraid so! They mean well, but don't always work out well for the individual.
