If you're into barbaqued hamburger, what spices and seasonings do you put into it? I like vegan worcherstershire sauce and hot curry powder. If you're into cuts of meat, what type of marinade or dry rub do you use? I like crushed garlic rubbed into steak with pepper and salt. If you have whole recipies please use them :)

Over here in the Netherlands we do not barbecue as much as the American do.
Mostly it's about 4 to 5 times a year but I love to make kebabs: pork tenderloin with a marinade of sweet soy sauce and ginger syrup (recipe of that I've got too) and chicken kebab with banana's are my personal favorites (Although I like the shrimps in ham too but those are so fast to make that I often eat them at dinner)

Cause friends loved my recipes, I placed them on the web.

Homemade BBQ sauce

3 TBSP Butter
1 small onion, diced
1-2 cloves of garlic, diced
1 TBSP of prepared mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1 TBSP sugar
2 TBSP fresh lemon juice
1 TBSP Worchestishire sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup corn syrup
dash of chili powder

In a small saucepan add butter, onions and garlic and sauté until soft.
Add all of the remaining ingredients and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
Allow to cool and place in an airtight container and place in refrigerator.
Will keep several months.

I like my hamburgers seasoned with Durkee Grill Creations and for ribs, steaks, etc. I'm partial to Head Country BBQ Rub which is quite tasty and made here in Oklahoma. The company also makes the best finger-lickin BBQ sauce I've found anywhere.

The best burgers I've ever had were cooked at low temp in a water smoker - - - you can use cheaper grades of ground beef (the fat drips off without hitting a fire so there's no nitrosamines to spoil the flavor and kill you.) The end result is a tender, juicy, deluxe bacon cheeseburger and you don't even have to add the bacon.....

ever try using tandoori paste? Mix it with equal parts yogurt and try that instead of the regular BBQ sauce. Its an ethnic food ingredient so you might have to search for it
