The biggest difference between Frontline and Advantage is that Frontline kills fleas and ticks, and Advantage only kills fleas. So...I would say that if your cats are outdoors at all they use Frontline. If they are indoor cats then it's up to you. If Advantage didn't work then there is no harm in trying Frontline.

Yes there is a difference between Frontline and Advantage. They have different ingredients.Frontline contains fipronil and Advantage contains imidaclopriid. Frontline often works better, however in order for any flea med to work you also need to treat the enviornment as well. If you have a flea infestation in your house fleas will continue to get on the cats. The Advantage or Frontline will kill the fleas but you will still see fleas on them as they pick them up from the enviornment.
Bombs aren't recommended since they are really a waste of money. The bomb goes up in the air and comes down on top of surfaces where fleas don't get.

Frontline does seem to work better... there used to be a product called Advantix (little different than Advantage, think made by the same co.) that would also repel mosquitos. For some reason, it seems to be off the market....

Really, though, the best way to keep fleas off kitties, is to keep the fuzzy ones indoors.... give them lots of toys to play with, and they will not miss the outdoors!

I've always heard that Frontline is made for dogs. I've used Advantage for my cats and it's always worked. It works by killing the fleas that have gotten on the animal and ingested the Advantage. It might take a few days for all the fleas to die. If it doesn't work by then I would suggest going to vet and asking them what might be a better choice.

I've used Advantage for years. It has worked great. I have a 9lb chihuahua. It also worked great on my 75lb Akita.

Are you sure you used the proper dosage and did it EVERY 30 days?

A few times, we have forgotten until we noticed fleas, at about 32 days. But once applied they were gone within 2 days.
