it does, but doesn't hold it to well, even with cold. just like when you take a aluminum hot metal sheet pan and place it on a cold counter, it get cold faster.
plus aluminum is very thin. easy for it to change to the same temp around it's surface.

But it does get hot, low conductor of heat does not mean it does not conduct heat. Basic principle of common sense. Just try pulling something wrapped in foil from a BBQ, campfire or the oven.

It does, but not for long. For an experiment, just take a bunch of foil and crunch it up, heat it up and see that it will stay hot.....just not too long.

Aluminium is a very good heat conductor. By this and being lightweight it looses it's heat content to the air very fast when you take it out of the oven and others heat sources.

It's not that it DOESN'T get hot, it can, and eventually will based on the heat source, temp, time, etc. But it just doesn't conduct heat well so it doesn't usually.

It does. It just cools so quickly that simply walking from the oven to the counter usually gives it time to cool.

It does. It's just so poor at CONDUCTING heat directly to your hand that when it is hot it just doesn't transfer heat well into your hand.
