I read somewhere it helps your hair somehow. Is this true? If so, how does it work?

mayo is a good conditioner, but olive oil is better, either way, cover your hair completely, cover with a hot towel,( from the dryer) and let it sit for up to an hour, then wash out, and condition. follow with a cold rinse for super shiny hair.

Mayo contains oil is that is great for hair. Unfortunately, majority of the hair treatments nowadays contain silicone. Silicone gives a sudden smoothness effect, but in the long run, it damages the hair. That said, the best thing for dry hair is a combination of mayo, oil and eggs.

Mayo also is good as a conditioner. You slather it on and leave it for an hour (if your hair is dry or damaged from coloring!) Then just wash it out (make sure you shampoo and get all of it out or it will be greasy!) Usually makes my hair very soft without taking out the color!

Real mayonnaise helps to moisture your hair. If you get head lice. It helps smother the bugs. Be sure to wash your hair well after using it because it can make it greasy if you use to much or don't wash it out well.

it's a really good deep condition for your hair. shampoo first then put on the mayo leave on for like 15 minutes then rinse well then you can use another conditioner afterwards so you don't go out smelling like mayo.

I wouldn't try it. I tried putting egg in once, told it was 'good' for hair!

Nasty, I could not get the smell out!

Heard Egg On Your Face? Well the same with that Nasty!

It's a good deep conditioner but it has to be real mayonnaise not miracle whip.

It makes your hair soft and shiny.

It is also good to help if you ever get lice.
