I've never been on a city bus, I think they are dirty. The only reason I ride the school bus is because my school is 3 miles away from my house. I sit near the front of the bus. People sit at the back of the bus so no one can hear their conversations.

I don't think it's so much about the color of the person but the personality of the person. Example, when I rode the bus in high school, all the cool kids sat in the back so that they could curse and cut up. If you sat in the front you were consdered a nerd. I haven't ridden a bus in quite some time but I've seen like the older men and women sit in the front while the younger people sat in the back.

kids sit on the back of a school bus to be away from the watchful eye of the driver...people sit on the back of the bus to see everyone who is on or gets on...or to get out of the way of others who get on later...peace and quiet...more space...so others won't have to walk by them and hit them in the face or shoulder with bags and packages...and probably lots of reasons that people sit on the back of the bus...it is also the best ride when you are younger...lots cooler being the guy on the back of the bus than the dweeb in the front seat

I've actually never seen them sitting "on" the back of the bus...curious. I must have been missing something.

2. I see more white people sitting on the back of the bus than black people.

Being African-American (not black), I'd say because that is where the sit is open. or
by judging the feel of your question... so as not to sit beside you

STEROTYPYING. not all do. Kids in my bus of ALL races sit in the back. Because they do not like to sit in the front. people do have the right to sit where they want.
They are much louder in the back, so i prefer to sit in the front.
