its pathetic, pratically everyone is a christian. Can you even name a country thats got more than 260 million losers(christians), since thats how many christians are in america 260 out of 300 million people are christians, what other country has got 260 million christians?

Ignoring the complete tone of disrespect that covers your question, I'd like to point out that not everyone who calls themselves "Christian" really are. About 10-20% actually are saved.

the original pilgrims that came to this country came to find a religious freedom from england and the constant shifting from the church of england to being catholic. but still kept their puritanical part of christianity with them.
the vast majority of the immigrants who came here (in fact ALL the immigrants before the late 1800's) we all members of some form of christianity. therefore, it figures that so many would still be of the same religion.

most of the founding fore fathers were Christians and also when the pilgrims landed on Plymouth rock they did their level best to civilize the native americans by exposing them to Christianity and VD.

^ most of our founding fathers were atheist. and the americans who came before us killed native americans for not having the exact same kind of society that we have. they did not need to be civilized.
