Yes, it is ok to give a dog a raw egg. It doesn't hurt them. Most people who feed a raw diet feed at least one raw egg a week complete with shell. If giving a raw egg grosses you out then boil it, scramble it,poach it before feeding.

Raw Egg For Dogs

Raw egg yolks are actually good for the dog's coat. I give my 4 dogs a raw egg yolk once every 2 weeks or so in addition to their regular diet and other supplements. I see nothing wrong with the practice. Now...if we were talking about the "white", I would not do it. That, from my underatanding is where all the possible contaminants would be. GO for it! My dogs love it and have thrived for years with no issues. If, however, your dog get diarrhea from it...stop. Good luck

Yes you can give your dog a raw egg, but I like to fry them for my dogs and then let the yokes run over their kibble.

My Uncle used to own a small store and would go to the egg ranchers and pick up trucks full of eggs and then take them back to his store where they would candle them. His German shepherd used to accompany him and all the eggs that fell off the conveyor belt and landed on the floor the dog would eat. He had the shiniest coat and never had any problems from eating the eggs.

Raw eggs won't hurt your dog. Just make sure they're fresh. You don't want him to get salmonella poisoning. I usually make extra scramble eggs and share with my dogs.

Yes, it's good for their coat. Just mix one raw egg once a day in their food or just in a bowl. It will thank you for that.

Eggs are good for their coats and high in protein, but there is the outside chance of giving them a sickness, same as with humans. They tend to be more robust though.

Isn't the bigger question, once you drop the egg on the floor, can you keep your dog from eating it?

I give my babies scrambled eggs. They LOVE them! And it helps keep their coats shiny.
