What would you do in this situation?
I found my birthbrother / family last week, he was also adopted.
I went over his apartment for the first time with my boyfriend last night. I went to use his bathroom and it was discusting worse then movie theatre bathrooms. There was old toilet paper stuck to the floor that was yellow looking, brown marks in the toilet. And the worst on the toilet and seat spots of blood and urine.
My brother is 23 his gf lives there is 32 and she has 3 children, and his adopted gay brother also lives there.
I was affraid of catching some disease from his apartment. On top of that his gay brother stated that hes allergic, forgot what brought that up. But my boyfriend brought over playing cards, a brand new deck, and his brother says" my finger is bleeding for some reason , then he started picking it with my boyfriends playing cards.

What would you do in this situation? I dont want to say anything to make any feelings hurt?

First of all, anyone who is bleeding, should get that taken care of with a wash of the hands, some peroxide, and a band aid. Second of all, no matter how much of a pig his girlfriend is, the only STD you can catch from a toilet seat is CRABS!! Gross!!! And third of all, never trust a toilet that isn't your own.

You haven't given any reason as to why you can't love your brother. Perhaps he really needs your love and someone on the "outside" to give him perspective.
You don't always have to see him at his apertment. You can see him at restaurants, coffeeshops, and other places. He might ask you why you don't see him at his place, and you can politely tell him, but it's not your home, don't be too judgemental.
I suggest: always wait until you've been asked to give an opinion or judgement. Let him come for you for that. You can love someone without liking their surroundings or family and friends.

I would make an excuse and leave , Then call your brother or his girlfriend and tell them that their way is un healthy for their kids and they should clean it up and themselves before the health department comes in an reports it and th e kids are taken awayl.

Set fire to the place! Nothing makes a place clean like the all disinfecting heat of fire. To start one in his place, all you'd probably have to do is light a match in the bathroom.

well not everyone's a super neat freak, but I think you need to talk to your brother and his girlfriend to clean the place up before it's infested with bugs that brings virus to harm the children.

Invite him to your place if you want to get together sometime, that way you can avoid the nastiness, but you are also in the comfort of your own home.

Maybe you can mention to him that his house is pretty nasty for the kids to be living in. I think if it were me, I wouldn't go over there again. Maybe invite him to your home, and show him how neat and clean it is. ~
