BEFORE microwaves were invented (pretty sure half of the people on this site would probably starve to death without one) we used to cook popcorn in a heavy saucepan with a tight lid.
We would melt the butter throw in the popcorn hit the lid on the top tight and wait for it to start popping. Shaking the pan frequently to stop the corn burning. To be honest once you have made popcorn this way, you would probably never eat the microwave version again!

Neither one I have not made old fashion popcorn or microwave pop corn in a long time. Now had some at my mom & dads earlier this year it was old fashiong I think

when I have it I take the popcorn out of the microwave bag and make it the old fashion way, for some reason I can never remember to buy the non-micro stuff...man now I'm hungry for popcorn.

Old fashioned! I bought an air popper and it's SO much better than the microwave stuff. You can control how much of anything you want on it.

When I can find the regular popcorn I use the old fashion method. It tastes better to me and reminds me of childhood.

Both.....Old fashion for me with real butter and microwave for the family, they like microwave better.....but not me... I like the real thing....taste better.
