my mom wont let me get the magazine cosmo girl and im 17!! she thinks it has "bad stuff" its not that big of a deal , but its kinda dumb... what should i say that will prove its ok to get it?!

show her what is in the magazine or just get it when she is not with u and hide it from her so she doesnt know you have it!

The bottom line is that it's her house and if she doesn't want that magazine on her house, then the rule is in place.

Personally, I don't see a problem at all with that magazine... but she's your mom and you have to respect her rules. Once you are out on your own, you can get whatever magazines you want.

Your Mom has your best interest in mind.. she has her reasons and they are good ones.. When you turn 18 then you can purchase the magazine yourself... You will understand and appreciate your Mom's decision one day and probably do the same with your daughter, if you should have one.

Why make it an issue (no pun intended), look at in the library and save the cost of the magazine.

How about acting like an adult about it? Don't make a huge issue over how unfair she is. Just ask her to please look at the magazine and see if it is as bad as she thinks it is.
