Thanks u 4! Very good from all. The real answer seems to be that it is not currently possible (I asked a couple techie pals and they concur) the technology is not there. It would need a long term high power supply (large battery) and further minaturization of GPS chip (set). Maybe later but personally, I'll pass.

Too easy for hostile forces to track the signals. Which defeats the entire purpose of keeping them safe.

It doesn't matter if the data from the signals is encrypted or not. Just the broadcast itself provides all the information needed to track them.

Actually, we should all have it, especially in this day and age of identify theft as it would be a good way for us to prove who we truly are. Also we should have it for safety reasons. We wouldn't need to have any cards or any ID or any papers.

And before anyone starts quoting "1984" or "The Book of Revelation" do some thinking and you will see that this would be the most logical solution to many problems. Also, there would not be any "wanted criminals" because we'd know where they are. Or if anyone who would become a victim of crime we would know where they are, and nobody would ever disappear.

For those who would cry loss of privacy, how much privacy do you think we have left when push comes to shove?

why would i as a HUMAN
#1 Need a Chip
#2 Want a chip
#3 Deserve a chip
why dont we all have chips implanted in us? that would solve all problems would'nt it?
the whole idea of putting a chip in my body without my 100% conset is deplorable and unecessary. the military already has enough crap shoved in us what more do they need to do to us or do you want them to do to us.

Suppose you get captured. Would you want someone rooting around inside your thigh to dig out your chip?

I'm with Coragryph on this one. It would be too easy for our enemies to use our technology against us.
