I'm referring to the one that you put the hot water and pasta into a container, and it cooks the pasta, or vegs, hot dogs, etc. Then all you have to do is drain the water out. Is it any good?

I have a mixed reaction here. So I really don't know if it is any good or not. Thanks everybody.
I have to put it up to a vote.

Our local news station tests stuff like that.
All of their testers had to finish cooking the pasta on the stove.

We bought one at our pharmacy, but it is a Pasta Express. We love it! I don't know it does with hot dogs or veggies, we haven't tried those. We have fixed spaghetti, fettuccine, egg noodles, macaroni, and angel hair pasta--all with very good results! I guess to each his own. Maybe some of the people who tried it didn't leave the food in it long enough, I don't know.

Some gadgets work, but this one does not. I know some college students who purchased them in order to make snacks without using the kitchen and they ended up having to complete cooking the items on the stovetop. My Italian mother-in-law is turning over in her grave about this one, she would not want to believe that someone would not be able to boil water on the stove. It will work if you are making very small portions, but not enough for a meal.
