We have lived in our house for 20 years. Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night I hear what sounds like a radio. When my wife was away for 3 months I would try and find where the sound was coming from. When I am in the basement it is upstairs; when I'm upstairs it is in the basement. Over the years I have found weird stuff: like a whiskey bottle in the rafters and a porn flick in the AC ducts. A man died here 25 years ago. I have learned to accept it as part of life.

I know there are spirits in my house. The secret is to be at peace with them. Sometimes I say goodnight before I turn off the light, other times I close a door behind me and blankly stare at the Saltire hoping St. Andrew would protect an atheist, while my deceased flatmates party in the hallway and downstairs.

I do. Every little noise has me jumping up to make sure the doors and windows are locked. I live in an older house that always cracks and creaks when it's settling at night. And there are pine trees outside and the pine cones fall on the roof of the house all the time. I have to sleep with my TV on.

take the time and instead of worrying about spirits, use it to study spelling and things will work out. Seems like you have an over active imagination so slow it down by working on something practical.

I think its part of humanity's psyche, something we inherited from our ancestors and its normal to an extent...
however if it is a serious issue with you you might need some medical attention, it could be the start of some mental issues, I am being serious, not trying to offend you. If it continues seek medical help, maybe your attending doctor can send you to a specialist, just my opinion though, good luck

Does this happen where ever you happen to be?
Or only at home?
If it is just at home you may be sharing space with others.
If they have not harmed you by now they probably won't.
Have you asked if they need anything?
If this phenomena follows you to other places you may
have company (it/they are on your side).
I do get the odd feeling now and then (not paranoia).
You are fortunate to experience this.

I used to get paranoid at night when I was younger. I use to see pictures moving or a shadow in the doorway. Now I can control that, by relaxing my mind.

You want to meet the two who play in my house. They care little for my sleep and positively jump around on any loose floorboard they can find...
