Money is the root of all evil, but we can't live without it! Just don't let it consume your life!

It is not money itself that is the root of all evil, but instead ones love of money that results in being the root of all evil. What this means is......when a person puts money and making money before anything else in their lives then their love for the success and the money is what is concidered bad or evil.

in the bible Jesus tells us in Matthew6:24 No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

What Jesus is saying is this " You cant put money and worldly things above serving God. If a person did this then they are essentially saying they love money and what they have and own more than God" which is where the you cant serve two masters comes in.....a person has a choice to make...... will they go through life only caring about the amount of success they have or will they put God infront and keep their eyes focused on Him.

Money itself isnt evil.....its how we act and we choose to do with our money and success that could become the root of all evil. If you keep God in the lead and your eyes on Him you cant go wrong........if you ask me God himself is the author of our success and and of all we do. Dont let money take over what is important in our lives........service to our Lord, our families and friends.......these things all have greater value than any money could ever buy.

No, money is not the root of all evil

Money can do a lot of good if it is spent wisely. Of course, it can be used for evil things that society frowns upon, but money is not to blame. People are to blame.

Greed and stealing are evil. Merely possessing money is not evil nor make one evil.

The correct and actual wording is: LOVE of money is the root of evil. There are a lot of people who are happy with what they have and can afford to buy. But that is fastly being taken away in today's economy. Wages that are not up to-date, taxes that are unfair (rich get enormous breaks, leaving the "middle" class to carry the burden), Washington's politicians are for the rich people and don't care squat about the working people. This war that is beyond the ridiculous range for what it is costing, and we, the ones who do pay taxes will be paying if off for the rest of our lives, our children's lives and most likely grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Yes it can be if you abuse the privilege of having it!

We all need money to survive. But when people use the fact they have money to get their own way or put others down then it is wrong.

I would love to have enough money to be able to afford what I want when I want it, but I truly believe that I wouldn't appreciate the things I buy as much.
There is nothing more rewarding than to save hard and then eventually go and buy something you really want.

Children today have no idea about the true value of money and they think it grows on trees and become greedy. If they understood how much things cost and were made to save their own allowances they would appreciate and respect it more.

The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Not money. Enjoy your money. Just don't put it above everything else.

To have money is to have power. Power could also be the root of all evil.

Money itself isn't the root of all evil but greed may be. The love of money or greed for money has driven many people to make bad choices. No matter how much people earn or have it's not enough. People have stolen, embezzled, gambled, and even killed for monetary gain and greed.
