California, Oregon and Washington on their own would have the fifth largest economy in the world. We don't really need the rest of you. You guys can keep San Diego. We don't want it.

If you choose to, I say good bye. Cleaning up after earthquakes are pricey so you will need a large economy & we could use our taxes else where. It is a beautiful area & I want my few relatives back before you leave.

Sure, I don't care - I'm an East Coast girl! I'll stick with New York. There's not a better city in the world.

I do admire the progressiveness of California though. I'll admit, NY could learn a thing or too.

Seems a little drastic but ok. Does that mean if the Chinese or Russians come down through Alaska and take over we don't have to help you fight? If you become a sovereign country.
They can attack you and maybe take over.
So we don't have to help? Hope you can hire someone to do it for you. what about a devastating earth quake that has been predicted? Should the rest of the country not try to dig you out?

You remember how that last secession thing worked out? One second it was about being forced to pay three times the taxes of their northern counterparts and then... Wham....Federal government tossed the Constitution in the trash can, Lincoln pulled it back out and used it for toilet paper.... Then it was about Slavery....
Yeah right... Civil War....
Try the war of Northern Aggression

Sure, California's 'environmental' regulations are a drag on the economy. You will be out of electric power before the ink dries.

yes , i'm from florida and i would love it if you did that, then we would offer you no protection from our enemys, then when north korea nukes you, then you will cry and want our help, and you will get no u.s. funding for when you have a big earthquake, i'm in on that i do agree with you, i think you can be a nation of cowards like france and then when you start letting terrorist live in your new country we'll have to occupy it and put you bleeding heart liberal baby killers in a concentration camp
