Well you answered your own question. You asked if it was possible, and you said you had already done that. Yes it is very possible but not healthy unless you're a very overweight person and under a doctor's watch.

4 pounds per week? Yeah, it is possible, but not recommended, because when you're on starvation diet, you also lose muscle tissue.
