Marne I fully agree, accountability's a big part of trying to help anybody...you don't help a drunk by giving him more beer money...

Mexico will get its act together when we demand Mexico be accountable for the money we give them through the IMF, non-interest bearing loans (which I, as an American citizen, don't have) and grants.

By containing the immigrant population within Mexico is not going to stop the spread of disease. Someone hasn't told the germs and infections to remain in Mexico. An immunization program must begin within Mexico and AIDS testing must be factored into the finances/resources we give to Mexico.

The basic problem with disease, especially AIDS, is that the people who have AIDS don't know they have AIDS and so, they transmit the deadly disease to others who are also unaware.
And, so it goes, round and round as happened in South Africa.

There must be accountability written into our foreign aid programs. This idea of given block grants freely for any government to do as it pleases opens the door, widely, for the politicians to do what politicians do all over the world--Steal.

Mexico out all the Latin Americans is by far doing the best. Our country, our laws and our society have been thoroughly insulted by an illegal population that is demanding a change in current law and special treatment. Why do they not show the same vigor and determination in changing the corrupt countries from where they came?

Revolution was just a 100 years ago, and with the post-electoral political environment as it is, thinks are deteriorating instead of getting better. i don't think that gives us the right to enter your country illegaly though.

Never, unless we make them ... why should they? They offload their poor and unwanted to the U.S., who gives them jobs, schooling and health care ... Mexico doesn't have to pay a penny ... and on top of that, they send billions of dollars back home to Mexico ... why should Mexico change??
