Try blue Dawn dishsoap. Not sure why but it kills the fleas. Its always worked for us. Good luck.

We lost a 4 week old kitten due to fleas. We couldn't use anything on him :( The vet suggested everything that the other posters have stated. I would at least call the vet to see if you might be able to use a puppy powder lightly. Otherwise maybe you just need to start going through him with a flea comb. With a Chihauhua's short hair you should be able to see the little buggers.
Good luck

Using Pert Plus, prepare a bubble bath and put the pup in the bath right up to the bottom of the ear bulbs. Hold the pup there for at least 3 minutes. Basically, you are drowning the fleas. Make sure the bath water isn't really hot.

you do no longer pick to bathe w dish cleansing soap. Dish cleansing soap is a grease remover which will eliminate all of the oils from the floor and reason epidermis problems. there's a flea pill thst you provides a kitten at 6 weeks. Its referred to as capstar. you may get it at a vet (without rx) or a puppy keep. Its approximately $4-5 a pill inspite of the undeniable fact that it kills all fleas in 30mins. it works! wish this helps!

You can bathe him with a flea and tick shampoo. It won't hurt him. My vet says that Adams Flea and Tick spray can be used on 6 week old pups too.

Give him a bath using dish washing detergent with lemon in it (it has to have lemon in it) Just wet him and use a little squirt of the detergent on his back and work it into a lather all over him (be sure not to get it into his eyes) Leave it on just a minute, and then rinse off while scrubbing him pretty good. Be sure to rinse well. This will get rid of the fleas. Hope this helped. :)

Give him a bath to drown the fleas and then feed him garlic. It changes the taste of his blood and fleas don't like it (maybe that's why vampires don't like it either).
