with mine...I did the choo choo train...airplane. it worked when they were younger. Praise always plays a big part too!! Applaude them when they take a bite.
If that doesn't work...let them (at least THINK!!) you are eating the baby food...they see you like it and want to try it.

**now my 1 1/2 yr. old boy was the hardest...he has been more of the..."here's the spoon...try it out!" He WANTS TO DO IT HIMSELF...AND HAS PRETTY MUCH..ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY. Even when he was very small...he grabbed the spoon and "tried" to do it himself!!
