Depending on breed, some dogs are just going to be very vocal. There are bark prevention collars that will transmit an annoying high-pitched frequency audible only to animals when they bark too much. However, this will train them not to bark when you actually might want them to, like when someone is in the yard.

I trained my dog to respond to 'quiet' and hush up and she's a hound, so they're prone to barking and harder to train. It's harder with several dogs, though. Use treats to train them to be quiet. When they're barking, get their attention (make them look you in the eyes) and then use the command 'quiet'. I also stand close by stroke the dog to settle it down. When they do the right thing, give them a small treat. Do this every time they bark inappropriately. Always use the same command, the single word 'quiet', since mixing up commands confuses them.

Get them some bark collars. It shocks them if they bark. They sell them at pet stores. I'm not sure about Walmart but maybe. We have bought them for our dogs before, and they really work. I know it sounds kind of cruel, but the idea is they usually do it once and it shocks them so they don't do it anymore. Even after we took the collars off and put plain ones on they were afraid to bark for a couple of days because they were afraid of getting shocked. Good luck, and I hope this helps. :)

If you feel comfortable doing so, you can buy one of those collars to shock them. A friend trained their dog using one and it worked for them. Just use it when the dogs are barking and you want them to stop.

Bopping them on the nose or tail with a rolled up newspaper and saying no, works, but you have to do it everytime and you have to train yourself to hear the bark. Its kinda like training yourself to hear your wife talking, you know?

shock collar. just make sure that you get the right one for your dogs size and weight. if you have a small dog you may not be able to use a shock collar.

Keep them distracted, but DO NOT resort to a shock collar. They are inhumane
