try to remeber what happened during your day before you call. everyone enjoys a good story (it's not really the story more like how it's told). and once you run out of things to say or when that wierd silence comes, say that you've got something to do and get off the phone and do something, that will help you with things to talk about next time.

Oh so many. A great place to start is something like, what did you do over the weekend? Then you can get the ball rolling from there. He may say, well I went to such and such a party and you ask, oh, how do you know this person? Or he says, I went to band practice and you say, how long have you been playing? How did it go? Lead on from whatever he says. Or get some stories ready about things that you have done lately... say, I went out for a ride on my motorcycle the other day and the alternator died... blah, blah whatever has happened to you lately. Since he sings songs you could talk about music. Ask him what kinds he likes and why. Or tell him what your favorite songs are and why. Then you could ask he knows how to sing any of them. You could ask him, if you had a million dollars and didn't have to worry about money, what would you do with your life?

If I talked to you every day I'd have run out of things to say too. What you need to do is ask open ended question IE. the kind that don't require a single word answer like yes/no. For goodness sake find an interest that you have in common.

Get him to notice you? Giirrrlll if he talks to you in any respect, he has already observed you. At that factor, i might ask him if he wanted to do something outdoors of school. what's exciting to do on your section? something little, like "hey, might you pick to snatch lunch together sometime?" or circulate see a action picture, circulate ice/curler skating, in spite of is unfastened/much less costly/exciting that persons your age do the place you reside. basically an off-the-cuff "hangout". I had a chum that I enjoyed some years in the past, and we used to hangout and play laser tag or circulate to arcades.

You just aren't trying, and your been to college together.
Surely, you have mutual friends you can discuss, teachers, classes etc.
How about movies, Television shows, books you have read.
Ask him about what he's doing now, his job, his prospects. Does he have hobbies, what's his favorite sport etc.
You must have some questions yourself, that you want to ask him, so just do it.

ASK HIM ABOUT HIS FAVORITE CLASS. ASK HIM HOW HE MANAGES HIS TIME AND SOCIAL LIFE. ASK HIM WHAT HE THINKS ABOUT THINGS (GUN CONTROL, SEXUAL HARRASSMENT IN THE WORKPLACE, ABORTION, RELIGION IN SCHOOL, THE WAR IN IRAQ, ETC). WHATEVE HE SAYS, ACCEPT IT AS HIS VIEW, EVEN IF YOU DISAGREE. THE POINT IS, TRY TO GET HIM TALKING ABOUT HOW HE THINKS ABOUT THINGS. THAT WAY YOU CAN FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF GUY HE IS. IF ALL ELSE FAILS AND YOU BLANK OUT, GET SOME TRIVIAL PURSUIT CARDS AND PLAY THE GAME WITH HIM.

If you are in college.......you had better grow up real fast! You have the maturity of a 12 year old. Perhaps you better stay home and practice your English skills.
