It's good to see that you have dropped the pretense of being American when you make your routine propaganda postings.
Could you update your profile as well ? We're wondering which country you come from. My bet is Iran.

The military doesn't look like fools. Look at vietnam's totals we lost more than that during a period of six months. We're actually doing pretty good. But back then it wasn't nearly televised as it is now. I mean you can actually watch a war on tv these days as it happens. The media tends to focus on the terrible things that happen. They don't ever mention the fact that we've been able to restore many basic essentials to the people of Iraq, like electricity, hospitals, education, oh and a more democratic government. I am in the military, and I don't think we look foolish. I think the politicians that sent us there are a bunch of fools. Do I agree with why we went in there? Hell no. I think Bush has had an agenda since day one... which was to settle an old score and get some hands on some oil. Do I think there were more important fish to fry and more relevant places to fight the war on terror? Hell yes. But I don't get to make those calls. I just wear the uniform and fight whoever those fat politicians in D.C. tell me to fight. Now you know who the real fools are. Maybe you can excerise the voting privelege that we "fools" grant you and speak up.

War is not a game. The price of war is sacrifice and casulties. The armed forces there arent to blame. i believe its the strategy behind it that has caused problems. Lack of a coherent exit strategy, lack of definable objectives, masses of foreign terorrists pouring into the country to fight and the viscious religious factions have all contributed to the overall situation. Our Army is not dumb. They are men and women like you and I trying to do a difficult job under difficult circumstances. Waging a guerilla war against a suicidal enemy is not the traditional military role. Our individual men and women on the ground are doing thier best.

They are not fools, they are doing what they are told. The fools are the commanders starting with the Secretary of Defense who will not listen to the prople in the field. Yes the war has gone on too long.

My mom says it's not a war until we see rationing. And, really the numbers aren't very high in scale with wars in the past.
However, I say nuke the entire middle east back to the stone age. Start over. Any society that has no concern for their own children, that has fallen to a level of blind rage and fanaticism is at the same level as cannabalism, obviously an evolutionary step in the wrong direction. Nuke 'em and start over. Start by nuking the opium fields.

It isn't the Military fault. Watched the crap on TV of stuff it was asked to do during Vietnam for cheap PR stunts. Only didn't realize it at the time. All we need is John Wayne rumbling into one city in a tank to make it carbon copy.

The only foolish looking person is you. Considering the dirty tactics of the terrorist from 4 other countries that have come
into Iraq to fight with road bombs & suicide bombers. A recently returned Marine that I meet Friday said they had women & children throwing hand grenades at them. Their biggest hit was a boy around 8 yrs old who came & threw a hand grenade in their jeep. In 3-1/2 yrs we have had very few killed at all & almost none from gunfire - how do you fight a roadside bomb. Our Military are brave & strong & defending Democracy. You have no purpose in life but to criticize those who try to better others lives.
According to news, attacks are down, Iraqi army is starting to control major cities & Syria is signing an agreement to stop arming their terrorist. So it is easier than it was 3-1/2 yrs ago.

It's not the military, it's the situation.
There is nothing more difficult than fighting guerrilla forces, who wear no uniform, on their home turf, during the middle of a civil war.
The fact that only 2600 US forces have been killed is a tribute to their skill, determination and training. In a modern war, with current weapons, it could easily have been ten times that many.
I still think remaining in Iraq is a fatal mistake. But the fault does not rest with the troops, just the circumstances.

Who told you war was easy ?
Overthrowing the Saddam Government and winning the war
against the Iraq government was quick & easy....Remember ??
Our problem is trying to keep them from having a civil war
and killing each other and turning Iraq into a Mid Eastern terrorist
headquarters...
