i am 5'5 and i weigh 175 pounds....i don't look really large, but i do have a big of a gut and large thighs

Unfortunately Nicole acording to the BMI scale you are............but GIRl.......you can change that..........start walking and doing a little extra ecah day and before you know it you have dropped a few pounds. Start slow.......because if it is too hard people tend to give up. Cut back on our portions and sweets. I loose about 7 pounds in about 14 days when I do this. Walk everyday for 30-40 minutes, a fast pace and see what happens for you in about a week. You might lose inches first but after about 12-14 days the poounds start to drop. And lots of water........it flushes out fat. Plus it fills you up so you don't feel as hungry all the time. Substitute friut insted of sweets. You'll drop it girl..........just make some changes. You'll like yourself better and want to look your best and it becomes more easier with each pound you lose, to keep up the work of losing it. Good Luck!

I'm 5'6 and 170 and I'm in the good to slightly overweight. So I would say losing 10-15 pounds would be good for you, but you're at no severe health risk. And then again, every body build is different, large boned people will weigh more than a petite boned person at the same height.

Really, it depends. If you eat a healthy diet, exercise at least 3 times a week, and go to the doctor regularly, you're fine! Of course, only your doctor can tell. It also depends how old you are and what gender. Check your BMI (Body Mass Index) which tells you where you are in the spectrum for height and age (and weight of course).

By guidelines you are overweight. If you have a family history of cancer, heart disease or diabetes than you may want to loose a little weight. I am sure you look fabulous and would feel even better if you were toned up a little. Start walking, it helps with stress too.......

If we're going by the professional opinion, then yeah. but to be perfectly honest if you think you look alright then stay that way.
If you wanna lose weight, reduce your calorie intake to 500 less than your usual intake (a day)

Yes, I am afraid that you are overweight. You should be between 115lb and 150lb. I would aim to lose at least 25lb and then see how you feel. Take care : )

you should probably ask your doctor or look at your bmi.you can find out how much you should weigh knowing you bmi(body mass index)

you are past overweight. You should only weigh 115 - 120 lbs

ur overweight. u shouldnt weight that much with ur height. u need to be down to like 110-120
