I have Jury Duty on Thursday, and I'm flying out on vacation the following Monday night. If I bring in my flight info is there a good chance they'll put me on a short case? Are the cases usually a day or less?

it depends. it may be a day, may be a few days, may even be dismissed. once you do it though you're free for 2 years.

Tell them you have read to much about the case to make a correct judgment. Jury Duty means they are picking people for the jury.

If you have already been picked, it is a good chance they will not let you off to go on vacation. It has to be something that is extremely at danger. Like a life.

You should be able to get excused entirely if you already have legitimate plans. Yes take flight inf because friday they will barely get the jury picked and resume on monday with trial.

The odds are they'd reschedule your jury duty, its usually put off for 6 months here in Cal.

Call for a postponement now. Chances are good you won't be finished by Monday. They have no way of knowing how long a case will last.
