Sky box - does anyone know how I can reset it to factory default state?

Question

I have been given an old Sky box and the previous owner had set the parental control and blocked a lot of channels.
I do not have the card nor the password.
Can I reset the box so that I can get all the default channels or shall I throw it away?

you need some one to plug it in while you hold the power button and backup together.... all the lights will light up, and it will run through a factory reset sequence.... have you asked the previous owner for the password?? g'luck
