Heading in that direction.

Just wait until they start issuing national ID cards. Or having more border check points between states (there are only a few now).

I've been a US citizen since birth. My father served in WW2. My brother was a Marine embassy guard during the first Gulf War. And I just graduated from law school. It took me eight (8!) months to prove to the US government that they should renew my passport, simply because I had moved too many times (all within the US).

I share your concern and sometimes feel the same way. But I have to ask you is how do we make our citizens and country safe in these dangerous times?

It is one thing for all of us to Monday morning quarterback, but take the wiretap issue, if that was not in place another terrorist attack would have taken place in New York. Now the courts say sorry you can't do that.

Tell me how would they have stopped that without that type of surveillance in place?
It seems to me that we are the only country that gets collective guilt trips when we are wronged or hurt, then set up situations that we loose to appease the world and the people that think we are wrong no matter what.

The same people who advocate taken away firearms from lawful US citizens have absolutely no problem with other people selling pornography on the Internet, allowing idiots like that collage professor Churchill spew his garbage about how bad our country is.

I know "guns kill people" except I take exception when the Rosie O'Donnell and Barbara Streisand, and Gloria Finnstien feel it's okay for them to have a firearm but not "other" people. What makes them better than "other" people?

Keep in mind too the bad guys and girls don't wear trench coats and fight fair, sometimes you have to beat them at there own game.

first of all, they need to step it up - I spotted so many flaws in airport security! It was just like another day at school for me - literally. There were also many times students at my school have been able to sneak in weapons, and drugs into the building. When I went through the security there, it was no different that the security at my school.
