That would have to be my toaster.
Not just for toast either. This baby can cope with all manor of bready products.
crumpets, muffins, currant buns, teacakes (my fav) mini pancakes, they can warm through bagels, buns and rolls. With it's extra wide opening it can handle the thickest slice from an uncut farmhouse loaf
I've even been known to pop in the odd potato waffle.
Yes the toaster, truly the unsung hero of the modern kitchen.
Oh well, that's me back on the kitchen questions again !
Nearly forgot about the potato farls and barmcakes.

I've got a tap fixed to the wall and clean water comes straight out into a built-in bowl beneath. It's great and I reckon everyone should have one.

reckon bongo makes love to his toaster
i couldn't live without my tater peeler, because we eat a lot of taters
you just stick the tater on the stick in the middle and it peels it, then you put it in the thing on the side and it slices it.....different settings for if you want to fry them, scallop them or boil & mash

The can opener. Think of all the things we'd do without if we couldn't open the cans.
