Once I ate it on a swissairline flight years ago, (it was a pear tart, but I don't remember exactly) I never forgot the yummy taste, & I never got the chance to taste it again, because I don't know how to make it, or where to find it (I live far away from Switzerland, & I didn't find anything on the web). They said it was one of the most famous desserts of Switzerland. Does anyone know anything about it?

The name is the same, but the picture is not the same thing.. as far as I remember. It was more like a cake. & it didn't have chocolate in it. Are you sure there isn't two kinds of Swiss Pear dessert?! Maybe I'm wrong. I'll try to make it , maybe the taste is the same. Thanks anyway.

You are looking for Pear Clafoutis.
It is typically Swiss, particularly when the sliced pears are dipped in Poire William before placing in the pie dish.

Swiss Pear Dessert
1 cup whipping cream, well chilled
2 tablespoons sugar
1 (29 ounce) can pears in heavy syrup, drained,reserve 2 1/2 ounces of syrup
4 ounces German cooking chocolate

Whip cream until thick, add sugar and continue to whip until thick.
Drain pears well.
Melt chocolate with reserved syrup.
Put pears in a large bowl, a glass bowl makes a nice presentation.
Cover pears with whipped cream.
Cool chocolate mixture, then pour or spoon chocolate carefully over whipped cream.
Chill well.
