try to work it into your routine so its not an "extra" thing to do. It also helps to put pictures of women with amazing bodies on your fridge, on your bedroom door, cupboard, back of the house door etc. Place these wherever you may most likely see them to constantly remind yourself to take care of your body.

Read a lot of fitness magazines - they keep giving you new things to try to keep your workout interesting.
Keep challenges yourself to do more e.g. pushups than you did last week.
If you are a size 12, hang a size 8 pair of jeans on the back of your bathroom door. It will remind you what you are doing all this for.
My advice? You need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better! Remember, more muscle burns more fat, more fat burning means a slimmer you!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Good luck and stick at it.

Just keep doing it, everyday, no matter what. If you can't do an hour , do 20 mins. As long as you do it everyday. Have a bunch of yoga or cardio or whatever kinds you like, videos at home so that you have no excuse to not do anything. It works some times, if I stay focused and stick to it everyday, but if I start to slack it's a fast slide. Basically, the only thing that works is wanting to be commited to it. If you're not ready, then don't bother.

I love to put up pictures of women who I think look really healthy and who are in great shape. I love to find new acitivites like pilates moves, or the big exercise ball. I love to look through new workout magazines and tell myself to incorporate one of the new moves each morning. buying new workout clothes is a lot of fun too.

Reality is what you make it. If you tell yourself you enjoy working out, and that you look forward to it, you will enjoy it and look forward to it. Then just be consistent, do it every day, make it part of your ritual. About the most important thing is, as the ancient Greeks said, Know Thyself. You know how much is too much, so don't do that, do enough to work for you but not so much that you set up resistence in your mind to working out. You can build up to an amazing amount of work, just be consistent.

Go visit a nursing home. See the people who are there and what being in poor condition both physcially and mentally has to offer you. Visualize your self unable to do simply things like shopping, playing with your children, sitting, running or standing. Your body is like a car. It requires maintainance. Your mind and your body. They are your most valuable asset.
