The illegal part. The United States has citizens whose heritage spans the globe, ethnicity is not an issue nearly as much as some people try to claim that it is. This really is, at least in my view, only about illegal immigration. And, it's happened/happening in other countries, too. You can't just have 40 million people decide to 'move in', it's not gonna work out. Frankly, I would limit legal immigration, too, there's already 300 million people in our country, and we have infrastructure problems as it is. Healthcare, roads, housing, sewer, water, electricity, law enforcement, all this stuff needs to be in balance, that balance gets broken if all of a sudden you add 20-40 million people to the mix. Jobs. Tax base. All that stuff gets knocked out of balance because somebody had the stupid idea to tell the cops not to do what it is that they do. Illegal immigration needs to be stopped. period. If, all of a sudden, 100 million americans moved illegally to Mexico for example, utter chaos would ensue. So, let's not have it that way in America, either.

Frankly, I didn't used to care that much and figured that I already knew my government was corrupt as well as incompetent, what more could I expect of the Feds.
But when I had to start standing in lines filled with screaming brats apparently 10 to a family who only screamed and spoke in Spanish, it dawned on me something might be amiss.
Then an illegal Mexican did $1000 worth of damage to my property with his car and hit and ran. We caught the booger but he was unlicensed, and un insured. Then even though I didn't turn the claim into the insurance company, I noticed my insurance rates went up 30% in one year, two years in a row. This is the case for everyone currently. Why? Do in large part to hit and run/drunk driving damage by illegals aliens apparently.
Picking up inordinate amounts of street trash, including used baby diapers caught my attention and I noticed it was dark skinned hispanic looking people that did the deeds. Hmmmmm? What's this all about. Then there was the overly loud Bandera music late into the night up the street. Well, I could go on but.... the point is I am against illegal anything but in this case illegal immigration works. I am for legal immigration that BALANCES all cultures and races as they are allowed in legally. That is what works for me ...and I rather suspect millions of other, law abiding US American citizens as well.

The illegal part. They have broken the law. There is a legal way and an illegal way to gain access to this country. They chose to do it illegally.
It is offensive and unfair to all of the immigrants who followed the law and came over here legally.
Why should they be above the law?
They have already gotten the entire nation including the school systems writing and speaking Spanish.
Is that fair to the other immigrant group? Polish, Russian, Chezc, Romanian, ect?
If other ethnic groups including my great grandparents can learn to speak English, than they should too!

Many American of all races oppose illegal immigrants. Some of my Hispanic friend are sometimes the most vocal about it. Some say that it makes them look bad and they blame the illegals for making others think that ALL Hispanics are illegals.
BTW there are many Eastern Europeans who are here illegally. They don't sneak in because they have to fly here but they overstay their visas. Those people are most often very fair Europeans.

Everyone's family was an immigrant at one time or another. It's the illegal part that is bad. It is a drain on the economy, and it allows people with criminal pasts to run rampant in our society to commit more crimes. I hold no ill will toward anyone wanting to move here but they should do it through the proper channels, not be criminals and at least try to fit in and become productive members of society. If you want to come here you should be required to learn a certain amount of English to be able to communicate and I think schools should teach only in English other than to help non-English speakers learn the new language and adapt. Your welcome to teach your children their native tounge but it is up to you to do that, not our free public school system. No one makes sure Chinese people are able to be taught in Chinese, they learn English. It is the tounge of this country and if you want to move here you should accept it as such. You can speak however you like but you should be able to at least communicate well with others, especially if you are to own a business here.

For the above budget part. Currently that is the illegal part. However, I am also against changing our laws so they would no longer be protective of schools and services (as our current ones might be were they ever enforced.)

Absolutely both. Why do I want my country to become another version of Mexico. I don't. Why do I have to fill in a box on employment forms that says I am white not of Hispanic Origin. Can you feel my anger??

My Scots-Irish blood boils over stuff like that. My ancestors built this nation and made it a place that illegals want to be. They must have done something right.

I don't want to live in a Hispanic country. And you know what, that's ok. As an American Citizen I have the right to think, believe, and express that opinion.

Why should we allow illegal Mexican immigrants to slowly overcome our nation??? Why would any American desire that??
