Not as long as illegal aliens course across our borders. Legalize immigration and we can go back to legally allowing well intentioned, workers from other countries to come here and fill the needs for more labor or spec. jobs.
This is one more reason we have to get real on the illegal immigration botch job. We need good people. Not desperate criminals that hold no alegiance to our country.
I will hold good thoughts and hopes for you and your wishes.

Until the illegal immigration gets stopped, guest worker programs can't go forward. But, sounds like they're starting to take the issue seriously, and take steps to get it done...I would say probably in the next couple years...but again, not until the illegal immigration is noticeably slowed/stopped.

Please please Illegal ALIENS, immigrant is a term used to denote someone that wishes to become a member of a country through legal means and the people hopping the border just want to live here in their own seperate societies without becoming a part of the whole. So we will never see a guest worker program since it would allow people to come into the U.S. and just disappear, I think it's foolishness. Apply for citizenship renounce your ties with your country of origin and become a citizen please people.

Something has obviously gone wrong .. it doesn't take that long to get a guest worker visa ... contact the INS and find out what the hold up is ...
