I'm thinking about layering my hair and was wondering if it would look good on me and how much care it would need. I have fair skin, an oval face, and long light brown hair. I think I was long layers (because I play sports and it needs to go into a ponytail). Do you think that would look good? Also, do you need to do anything special to keep layered hair healthy? Anything at all is appreciated!

Hello. I have long layers and it is fine to put in a ponytail because my hair is jut past my shoulders. Any shorter and it will be harder to keep in a ponytail, both the layers and the hair length. I have a light skin complexion also. My face is longer and oval. Everyone says my hair looks well layered long and at my shoulder length better than long to my waist. It just pulled my hair straight which hid my natural wave.

I love having layered hair. I have really thick hair, so it takes some of the weight off. I love doing loose big curls with hot rollers. I notice a big difference in the quality of a hair cut with layered hair. I found a new stylist who did a much better job than the old place Iwent to, that made a big difference.

It would look great, but let me give you some major tips beucase you play sports. Try to get the starting layer long enough so you can put it up on a pony tail. If you get the layer starting really short, it will come out and it will get in your face while you are playing. Trust me that happened to me. Measure the first part of hair that is going to get layered and see if it is long enough to be put up in a pony tail without coming out. =]

Yes I think layers will work for you but do keep them long enough to put your hair in a ponytail. They are soooo easy to maintain and you do not have to do much heat styling to you hair which keeps the hair healthy and growing.

If your hair is straight then long layers will look fine. When u do decide to curl it then it will really look nice. Long layers flipped up would go with your face shape and it is the style. So I say find a good hardresser and go for it.There is nothing new u have to do to take care of layered hair, just condition it regularly.

I have layered hair and i love it. Just treat it how you normally would. The long layers would look great. I would get a second opinion from a hair salon, just explain what you told me see what they say. Remeber your hair always grows and you can cut it off if you dont like it.

Ask your hair stylist. I recommend maybe doing 2 layers instead of layering your entire hair. Also, ask for long layers, in case you dont like them and have to make your hair even again.

i like my hair long also. I keep long layers at the ends of my hair, and I have no bangs, I have my hair layerd around my face. Long enough to still put up when I dont feel like doing it, but also stylish enough to style it when I go out. Its an easy style to do.

the two look solid. i've got been layering my hair considering i've got been in 4th grade (i'm in tenth now). i layer it because of the fact it style of feels pick to me that i'm able to do extra issues with it, like hair types. basically the way it works out for me.
