I am fascinated with the Mob. I do not intend to join the Mafia though. Can someone give me a good link that gives a good description of the Mafia?

why don't you read these books Bound by Honor 'a Mafiosos story and Underboss sammy the bull gravano's story of life in the mafia. i think you'll enjoy them as you will find out how they live what they had to do to become a made man definition of a mafioso : to make oneself respected; to be strong enough to avenge yourself for any insult to your person, or any extension of it. and to offer any such insult to your enemies.
