First off, I am not sure hate is the choice of word. Some people may have negative impression of it because we don't have enough exposure of the true nature of the religon. But I don't think hate is the word here, not even close, for vast majority of people.

Muslims..... It can very well be a very peace loving religion.

But through out the year, Media has certainly spotlight many seemingly unfair practices of the religions. And also some relatively radical behaviours of the islamic people. Those behavior or cultural practices were not acceptable to other cultures and religious background. Granted that it can be just some regional or individual incidents but these could add up and paint a bad impressions.

For examples.
1) They allow four wives. ( I personally like it but....)
2) The unfairness treatment of women compare to western cultures.
Some countries forces women to cover up their whole bodies even it is a hot weather.
Some countries do not allow women to have same education opportunities as men
Some countries allow murdering of the daughters if they had sex or disgrace to the family.

3) Some islamic countries does not allow practice of other religion.
4) Some islamic country does not allow other cultures like celebration of valentine's day, etc.

There are other things that added up to protrait an negative image .

We don't hate Muslims. Most are God fearing people just like Christians. We do hate the "Hate" that some of them insist on pushing on others. Jesus is mentioned in the Qur'an 97 times. Islam has great respect for him. However, to them he is only a prophet. The Qur'an tells us Jesus was born to the virgin Mary as does the Bible. It teaches that Jesus was the Messiah, word of God, sprtit of God and speech of TRUTH. If he is the speech of truth, Then what he said must be true. And he said,"I am the son of God." And if He was born of a virgin. God must have put him there. Therefore he is the son of God.

Muslims are just misled. It's not their fault. The were brain washed and these teachings were forced on them. All Christians should pray for these people. We were all created by God.

I don't hate Muslims. It's unfair to "compartmentalize" others because of their choices, colours, creeds, etc. I think it's a lack of understanding or ignorance of the facts, or maybe both. The extreme fundamentalists reflect the "evils" within, and the rest are fit snugly into the same category. (I like the word "demonize"; it sums it all up quite succinctly.)

because they are being misinformed. if they had half a brain they would look up the islamic laws and understand the truth rather than getting it force fed by the media. it's pure ignorance and evil propoganda. it's been going on for centuries so it's not new. the quran doesn't say "behead people" that's not even true. and accusing islam of being related to satan is ridiculous. satan doesn't tell people to care for one another, to pray to GOD, to have patience, to love, to have peace, etc. so it's simply more ignorance coming out. people need to educate themselves rather than follow this evil. also muslims didn't declare war on anyone...war was declared on them.

We don't hate Muslims. We fear the terrorists from fundamentalist sects. The average Muslim finds them as embarrassments and hindrances to future progress. It is the terrorist who is making life difficult for Muslims.

During the Crusades, the Crusaders did outrageous things to the Jews and Muslims and were thought of as bloody terrorists by both Muslims and Jews. Before the Crusades, Jews and Muslims lived peacefully, together. This is why bin Laden purposefully uses the word, "crusade," to frighten the Muslim masses by reminding them of horrific events in their historical past.

Jews, Christians and Muslims are called "the people of the book." They are monotheists and have more in common than differences.

The word, "Islam," means "peace through surrender to God."

I don't hate Muslims nor do I know what the Koran says because I didn't read it. I choose not to believe what non-Muslims say about what the religion is about because I don't think they know what it's about any more than I do. I don't believe it good to judge others because I'm not God nor do I want his job. I have friends who are Muslims and I sympathize with their plight because as a Christian I have a similar one.

Muslim people by nature are very opposed to violence. It is the extremists that are like that. People hate Muslims because they are stereotyping and to me that is a little ignorant. I am currently deployed to Iraq and all of the Muslim people here I have met are great people. People I believe are just being narrow-minded.

People do not hate muslims, people hate extremist groups that are the ones doing the killing, but not only of the muslim faith but others as well, just think that the christian bible backed slavery and the deaths of millions people in the name of their god and so do others religions or governmens on the name or lack of it.

people are ignorant and judgemental.

Islam has its flaws, but it is basically the same flaws of every other big religion - people doing what they're told to do, fearful to question the religions rules and moral codes in case they don't "fit in" and therefore can't find a mate their parents and larger community would approve of...

people need to belong, it's an overwhelming force, no matter how twisted the larger groups ideas are. We are social creatures.

So that's what I think. Every religion has the same basic flaws.
